Katherine Bulava, PMP – President
In January 2010, Bulava started HATHA COMMUNICATIONS, which specializes in working with organizations that have a direct positive impact on the community or the economy.
In order to focus on HATHA COMMUNICATIONS, Bulava resigned from Cleveland City Council, where she had gained valuable experience and developed strong relationships with the Cleveland media and was the youngest person to serve as Communications Director.
Bulava has spent her entire career around public service and has more than a decade of local, regional and state political campaign experience working with clients on both sides of the aisle.
In a volunteer capacity, Bulava currently serves on the Bike Cleveland Advocacy Committee and has held a number of leadership positions on boards and committees for organizations such as SPACES, Tremont West Development Corporation, COSE and BNI. In March 2014, Bulava joined the Entrepreneur’s Organization Accelerator Program.
Prior to working with Cleveland City Council, Bulava was the news editor/reporter for the East Side Daily News and an assistant editor/reporter for the Old Brooklyn News as a consultant to the Old Brooklyn Neighborhood Development Corporation. She also worked as a freelance journalist for Kaleidoscope Magazine.
Bulava holds a Bachelor’s in English with a minor in Creative Writing from John Carroll University and a Master’s in Communications Management, a joint MA/MBA program, also completed at John Carroll University. She holds an Ohio H.B. 9 Public Records Certification and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). She actively pursues continuing education opportunities and is a member of PRSA and AAF, in addition to being an active CBB Alumnus and an Alpha Sigma Nu.
Bulava was recognized for launching Cleveland City Council’s social media by the Cleveland Plain Dealer and as a social media expert by COSE Update Magazine and WKYC Channel 3. Bulava has been honored as the West Side Sun Newspaper’s Person of the Week (March 2009); has received a Certificate of Recognition – Make A Difference Day 2006 from the Ohio Community Service Council; and was awarded Best News Story from the Neighborhood & Community News Association in 2005 and a scholarship to Summer Literary Seminars in St. Petersburg in 2004.
Gail Glamm, Communications Specialist
Gail Glamm joined Hatha Communications in January 2013 and is our Communications Specialist, responsible for a variety of client work and business development tasks including social media management; media tracking; development of press releases, blog and newsletter pieces; and event staffing. Her background includes ten years as a buyer for Federated/Macy’s Department Stores and over twenty years as owner and president of The Marketing Advantage, Inc., as well as extensive experience in event planning and coordination.
Glamm earned her BA from Baldwin-Wallace College in Sociology and Business. She continually augments her education and work experience with classes and workshops, including Fundamentals of Fundraising through the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Glamm is currently on the Board of Broadway School of Music and the Arts, where she chairs the Marketing Committee. She has also served on the Board of Directors of The Birchwood School, The Columbus Marketplace, Slavic Village Development and Church Council at Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ. She served as the Chairman of the International Festival and Auction at Birchwood School for six years and as co-chair of the Slavic Village Harvest Festival for fifteen years.
Gail lives in the Slavic Village neighborhood of Cleveland with her husband and son.
Bill Amato, Director of Production
Bill Amato joined Hatha Communications in 2011. Amato provides creative direction and insight on all of Hatha Communications’ video production projects. His expertise is a culmination of nearly 15 years of experience in technical direction, audio/visual, lighting and set design. Notable accomplishments in the field include serving as Assistant Technical Director for Great Lakes Theater and the Idaho Shakespeare Festival and as Technical Director for the Breen Center for the Performing Arts in addition to a hefty portfolio of audio/visual and set design projects in various theaters locally and nationally.
Amato’s contributions to Hatha Communications include video editing and production; event planning for all technical aspects of Hatha Communications’ events; and management, coordination and maintenance of audio/visual equipment. Amato is also responsible for monitoring Hatha’s technology inventory as well as industry trends in order to recommend long-term capital purchases.

David Wolf, Video Production
David J. Wolf has been producing videos for over 20 years. After graduating from Ohio University in 1993 as a Video and Film Production Major, Wolf moved to Atlanta, GA. to work for BellSouth Telecommunications in their Internal Media Department.
In 2001, Wolf created “Edit Solutions” in Baltimore, MD. Here he took care of video editing and training for America’s Most Wanted, BET Television, National Association of Homebuilders, the CIA, and many smaller post production houses.
In 2002, Wolf was contracted by NFL Films in Mt. Laurel NJ. to be the Administrator over 100 Avid editing systems managing media workflow during the 2002 NFL Football Season.
In 2004, Wolf went to work for Avid Technology in Tewksbury MA. Traveling all of North America and the Caribbean working for clients like Lifetime Network, FOX News, Lopez Tonight Show, E! Entertainment Television, Good Morning America, and many more.
